a first-calss Japanese restaurant in Kyoto. by Oto

Hi, I am Oto.

I went to KIKUNOI that  is a first-cass Japanese restaurant in Gion street ,Kyoto.
This restaurant was admired by all of people and didn't fall short of my expectations.
They arranged Geisha performance ,dainty and refined Japanese dishes(It was perfect).
Also They were shown a great deal of hospitality.
I was intoxicated by a luxury mood with historic air and I felt as if I were in a trance.

Now, I am in my home.
I came back to reality...

Memorial services were held at a subway station in Tokyo on Saturday to mark the 15th anniversary of the sarin gas attacks on the subway system by cult members.

Subway workers at Kasumigaseki station in central Tokyo offered silent prayers for the victims at 8 AM, the time of the attacks in 1995.
Some members of the Aum Shinrikyo cult released the deadly gas in subway trains during the morning rush hour on March 20th, 1995. 13 people were killed and several thousand others suffered bodily harm.

Police recently raised the number of wounded from more than 5,500 to about 6,300.

On the anniversary, many people offered flowers at a table set up at the station, including Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama, transport minister Seiji Maehara, and relatives of the victims.
The widow of the assistant stationmaster at the time, Shizue Takahashi, expressed hope for enhancing relief measures for people who are still suffering from after-effects.

So far, 13 members of the Aum Shinrikyo cult, including founder Shoko Asahara, whose real name is Chizuo Matsumoto, have been sentenced to death for the attacks and other crimes. 10 of the sentences have been finalized after running through the complete appeals process.

Japanese Cakes - lesson by Oto

Hello. I am Oto.
well, well, well, Long time no see-----!!!!
I was missing blog so much but my computer slept for 1month like "Sleeping Beauty".
Finally, She got up by repairman's kisses ( not only one kiss) .

Yesterday , I took a class for making Japanese cakes / Japanese-style confectionery.
Because, I want to tell more about Japanese cultures and enjoy tea-time with my Japanese cakes for my guests.
I though that it is easy for making before did it. Yeah, It was really difficult to deal with..
I couldn't connect my brain to my hands.
I wanted to make Japanese cherry blossom but it looked ..... hmm...something flower.
Japanese culture is too sencitive!
You know that I am dinamic person...

I will take same class next week.
Hope success it.

Have a sweet day !

*We call it "NERIKIRI".
It means also a way to make."knead beans +starch syrup something"

It made from beans ( sweet red beans, white beans, starch syrup)
We put  food red in white beans's part and arrange color what we want.
And, We use our finger, hands, and special tool.
And,  We ate it with Japanese green tea ( macha ) ,of course.
